Transparency · our public promise
We work transparently,
measurably and correctably.
This page is the promise we let ourselves be measured against. We update it at every quarterly review, and never silently.
Methodology
Data, not opinions.
Every statement on this website can be traced back. We document what we measure, with which tool and at what interval. When we quote a Lighthouse score for mekyn, we show the report. When we say “Wix has a Lighthouse score of 47”, we link the measurement with its date.
- Every study publishes its raw data and methodology (CC BY 4.0).
- Competitor comparisons are factual, sourced and free of bashing.
Performance
Measurable performance — or we tell you why not.
If you sell a compliance standard, you have to live it. We only publish metrics for our own pages once they are measured, with date and source. Automated measurement isn’t running yet; until then you can check any page yourself.
AI disclosure
AI is a tool, not the author.
mekyn uses artificial intelligence as a productivity tool, never as a replacement for human judgment. Our AI team helps with drafts, copy, images, analysis and research.
No made-up content
No invented customer quotes. No stock personas. No generic case studies without real data. When we make a claim, we back it up.
How we correct
Mistakes are human. Silent corrections are not okay.
When we find a mistake, whether in content, code or a calculation, we correct it in public. Every notable change to a page gets a dated update note. We believe in trust through traceability, not perfection through silence.
Example · update log format
2026-05-01 — Page created. Initial release.
2026-07-15 — Lighthouse scores updated (Q2 review).
2026-09-30 — MCS calculation corrected: the "Privacy" dimension now weights HTTPS+HSTS instead of HTTPS alone.
Standards
Standards you can check.
The mekyn Compliance Standard (MCS) is not a marketing term. Its criteria and weighting are publicly documented and the version is stated. We rate ourselves by the same rules as everyone else.
- MCS criteria with weighting on the MCS page (versioned).
- No MCS manipulation. If our own score is bad, we show it anyway.
Common questions
What people ask about transparency.
Häufige Fragen
-
How transparent is mekyn?
Every marketing page publishes its Lighthouse scores, its MCS score and the date of its last update. The criteria behind our compliance score are publicly documented. Every correction comes with a date, never silently.
-
Does mekyn use AI?
Yes. mekyn works with an AI team (Lyra, Gina and others) for drafts, copy, images and analysis. AI speeds up the work; we take responsibility for the result.
-
How honest are the scores?
Stricter than most tools. We refuse score inflation. A site whose homepage is missing a title tag cannot score above 50/100. The report explains why, so you see exactly why it is 76 and not 90.
-
What is the MCS score?
The mekyn Compliance Standard (MCS) rates websites across five dimensions: performance, accessibility, SEO, privacy and security. The criteria and their weighting are on the MCS page.
-
How does mekyn correct mistakes?
Visibly. When we find an error in content or code, we update the affected page with a dated correction note. There are no silent corrections.
