What this test measures — and what it doesn't
This test uses the official Google PageSpeed Insights API, which runs a Lighthouse audit on Google's infrastructure. The results are identical to a Lighthouse run in Chrome DevTools — with the advantage of standardized hardware and network simulation.
What this test does not deliver: concrete recommendations per finding. For that we built the mekyn SEO check with 210+ audit signals and AI-generated recommendations.

What is Lighthouse?
Google Lighthouse is an open-source audit tool for websites. It scores performance, accessibility, best practices and SEO on a 0–100 scale.
Is my Lighthouse score good?
90–100 = good (green), 50–89 = needs improvement (orange), 0–49 = poor (red). The target for business websites is 95+ in all four categories.
How do I improve my Lighthouse score?
The biggest levers: serve images as AVIF/WebP, inline critical CSS, self-host fonts with font-display:swap, and minimize plus defer JavaScript.
Is the test really free?

How often can I test?
